But doctors across the country who want to appear in NEET PG exam are not in favor of conducting this exam in two shifts. They say that this does not bring equality and those who are in one shift may benefit more and those who are in the other shift may suffer more. Regarding this, doctors have filed a case in the court, which is yet to be heard. This is also being said because, there was a lot of difference in the questions of both the shifts in the NEET PG 2024 exam. In one shift, more questions were asked from a subject, while in the other, very simple questions were asked.
In such a situation, if more questions are asked from scoring subjects in one shift, then the students of that shift will benefit more. On the other hand, if more questions are asked from another subject which is not so favorable, then it is common that the candidates of this shift will be able to score less marks than the candidates of the first shift.
According to the guidelines, the institution conducting the exam says that they will do normalization between the two shifts, so that those sitting in both shifts can get ranks based on the difficulty of the paper.
