The Punjab government has completely banned the sale of 112 “substandard” medicines in the state. This step is believed to have been taken following recent deaths caused by the consumption of certain medicines. It should be noted that the central government has also banned several medicines.
“The Punjab government has imposed a strict ban on the sale of substandard medicines. Following a CDSCO report declaring these medicines to be of substandard quality, the Health Department has ordered their immediate removal from the market. Citizens are advised to avoid using any of the medicines listed. Ensuring the health and safety of every resident is the highest priority of the Hon’ble Government.” ~ Dr. Balbir Singh

“Please do not use any of the medicines listed above. If any of these medicines are being sold at any pharmacy, immediately inform the Health Department. Your health is the priority of the Punjab Government,” he said.
This list includes a description of the product, batch number, manufacturing date, the company that manufactured the product, and the test results that led to the ban.
