752 new cases of covid-19 have been found in India, that too within just one week, due to which the total number of corona cases in India has now crossed 1000. Two new sub variants of corona have come, NB.1.8.1 and LF.7, whose cases are coming from almost all over India. However, according to experts, these are not that deadly.

# According to the latest update from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (as of 8 AM IST, May 26, 2025), the country has a total of 1,010 active COVID-19 cases. This marks a steady increase compared to previous weeks.
# Noida recorded its first COVID-19 case this season. A 55-year-old woman tested positive for the virus on Saturday, marking the first confirmed case in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida district.
# Rajasthan reported a COVID-related fatality, where a 26-year-old man from Jaipur succumbed to the virus. The individual had been receiving treatment for tuberculosis and other chronic health issues over the past two months. He tested positive on May 24 and died on May 25.
# Officials clarified that the prevalent JN.1 variant, a descendant of the Omicron BA.2.86 lineage, does not appear to cause severe illness in most cases.
# Kerala has also reported two deaths linked to COVID-19 in the past week, though health officials have not disclosed further details about the deceased.
# In Maharashtra, a 21-year-old COVID-19 patient who had been undergoing treatment at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Kalwa Hospital in Thane died on May 25, as confirmed by Thane Municipal Corporation.
# The global situation mirrors India’s in several respects. In Thailand, the Department of Disease Control reported 53,563 new infections and five deaths last week, with Bangkok being the hardest-hit area.
