NEET PG 2025 News: Is NEET PG postponed? Check official updates on the exam

NEET PG 2025 NEWS: News is going viral on social media that the NEET PG 2025 exam has been postponed. A notice is also being made viral regarding this. But PIB FACT Check has tweeted from its X handle that according to the viral notice on social media, it is claimed that the NEET PG 2025 exam has been rescheduled. “This claim is completely false and fake, the National Board of Medical Sciences has not issued any such notice.”

Candidates appearing for NEET PG 2025 exam should not trust such fake claims and notices and visit the website of the official board conducting the exam natboard.edu.in to get the latest updates.

NEET PG 2025 Exam Date and Registration

The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Post Graduation (NEET PG 2025) exam will be conducted on 15 June 2025 in two shifts as per the scheduled date. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) had confirmed this date on 17 March 2025. The NEET PG 2025 examination will be held in a computer-based test (CBT) format.

It acts as the only entrance exam for admission to various medical programs, including:

Doctor of Medicine (MD)​
Master of Surgery (MS)​
Postgraduate Diploma courses

These programs are introduced to authorities, private and deemed universities across the country.

NEET PG 2025 Exam Pattern:

Mode of Exam: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Total Number of Questions: 200 (reduced from 300 in previous years)
Total Marks: 800
Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes (210 minutes)
Language: English only
Marking Scheme: +4 for every correct answer -1 for every incorrect answer 0 for un-attempted

The syllabus is based on the MBBS curriculum and divided broadly into three sections:

Part A: Pre-Clinical Subjects

Anatomy
Physiology
biochemistry

Part B: Para-Clinical Subjects

Pathology
Pharmacology
Microbiology
Forensic Medicine
Community Medicine

Part C: Clinical Subjects

Medicine and allied subjects (including Dermatology, Psychiatry, etc.)
Surgery and allied subjects (including Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, etc.)
Obstetrics and Gynecology
Pediatrics
Radiology
Anesthesiology
