Theme of World Health Day 2025
The World Health Organization i.e. WHO celebrates World Health Day on 7th April every year and a new theme is also kept which tells what is the goal of doing something new in the field of health and how the world is united for health related problems.
Like every year, this year also the theme of World Health Day 2025 by WHO is “Healthy Beginning, Hopeful Future”. Now this theme is telling about healthy beginning which means a new and good healthy beginning.
The theme of World Health Day 2025 tells the authorities and health systems of the whole world how to prevent maternal and newborn deaths and what steps should be taken for this. Here the emphasis is on how women’s health can be maintained for a long time. Download ppt from here.
Helping maternal and newborn babies survive and stay healthy
This is very sad but you will be surprised to know that according to WHO data, more than 3 lakh pregnant women lose their lives every year due to childbirth.
According to another data, about 20 lakh children all over the world lose their lives before the first stage of their life i.e. before 1 full month. At the same time, about 20 lakh newborns are born dead, which is a worrying number.
Now if this data is not taken seriously, it will increase further, if work is done on it, then the death of newborns can be prevented every 6 seconds.
According to current data, 4 out of 5 countries are still far from meeting the goals of improving maternal survival by 2030.
Campaign goals
- Raise awareness of the gap in maternal and newborn survival and emphasize the need to prioritize women’s long-term well-being.
- Advocate for effective investments that improve women’s and children’s health.
- Encourage collective action to support parents as well as health professionals who provide critical care.
- Provide useful health information related to pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.
