NEET PG 2025 Exam Postpone? Exam Date

NEET PG 2025 Exam Postponed, Exam Expected In August

Posted on June 2, 2025

NEET PG 2025 Exam Date: The National Board of Examinations (NBE), responsible for conducting the NEET PG 2025 exam, had initially planned to hold the exam on June 15, 2025, in two shifts. However, this decision was met with opposition from both doctors and candidates, who filed a petition in the Supreme Court. They argued that such an important medical entrance exam should be conducted in a single shift to maintain fairness and consistency.

Responding to these concerns, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the candidates and ordered that the NEET PG 2025 exam must be held in a single shift only.

This verdict has created a significant challenge for the NBE. Before the court’s decision, the exam schedule was already fixed: admit cards were to be released on June 4, 2025, and the exam was set for June 15, 2025. Conducting the exam in two shifts would have allowed the NBE to manage a large number of candidates more easily. Now, with the single-shift mandate, the NBE must urgently increase the number of exam centers and staff to accommodate all candidates on the same day.

Given the short timeframe, it seems nearly impossible to make all these logistical changes and conduct the exam smoothly on June 15. Despite this, the NBE has not yet announced any update regarding the exam date or whether the exam will be postponed.

Meanwhile, rumors have started circulating that the NEET PG 2025 exam might be postponed and conducted in August 2025 instead. Though no official confirmation has been given by the NBE or any government body, this speculation is spreading due to the logistical difficulties caused by the Supreme Court’s single-shift directive. Candidates should remain cautious about unofficial news and rely only on announcements from the official NBE channels.

This lack of official communication has created confusion and uncertainty among candidates, who are anxiously awaiting further news.

In summary, the Supreme Court’s decision to hold NEET PG 2025 in one shift has caused a logistical challenge for the NBE. While the exam was initially scheduled for June 15, 2025, it now seems difficult to conduct it on that date under the new conditions. Candidates are advised to stay alert for official updates and prepare accordingly.
